*BEAUTIFUL HIGH ORIGINAL CONDITION ITHACA FLUES GRADE 4 TWO-BARREL SET SHOTGUN WITH EXTREMELY RARE SWAMPED RIB.

SN 271458-T. 1) Cal 12 ga. 24″ Krupp fluid steel bbls with swamped rib and ivory front sight. 2-3/4″ chambers. Chokes marked Cyl/Full. 2) Cal 12 ga. 26″ bbls. 3″ chambers. Choked IC/Cyl. Full length matted top rib with twin ivory beads. Dbl gold-plated triggers, auto ejectors, auto safety. Beautifully figured French Walnut straight stock with gold shield near toe checkered in fleur-de-lis and flowing wave pattern. 14-1/8″ LOP over orig Ithaca Gun Co. HRBP. Splinter forearm with push button opener and triangular ebony tip checkered in geometric and wave pattern. Receiver is beautifully engraved in typical Grade 4 style with pheasant in farm scene on right and duck in marsh scene on left surrounded by beautiful floral and punch dot engraving. This exact gun was featured in a full-length Double Gun Journal article by noted Ithaca authority Walter C. Snyder. Weight with 26″ bbls: 6 lbs. 9 oz. PROVENANCE: The William Hammond Collection. CONDITION: Extremely fine and collector quality. Bbls retain nearly all of their orig blued finish on both sets just beginning toning. Receiver retains 85% orig case color toned on bottom deep and vibrant elsewhere throughout. Buttstock and forearm are excellent and orig and retain nearly all of their orig finish. Buttstock with just a bit of added finish for preservation. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are crisp.
