*SCARCE L.C. SMITH EAGLE GRADE 16 GA SHOTGUN.SN FWE42809. Cal. 16 ga. 26″ bbls, 2-1/2″ chambers, choked FULL/FULL. Full length matted top rib with ivory mid and front bead. Small gold bar in top rib near breech. Featherweight frame, dbl triggers, automatic ejectors, non auto safety. Replacement buttstock and forearm. Butt is capped full pistol grip with cheek piece and shallow stippled checkering with 14-1/2″ LOP over replacement lined HRBP. Beavertail forearm with banjo roll type release is near fully stippled. Receiver is engraved in typical eagle pattern with pheasant on left, duck on right, eagle on top lever surrounded by fine stippling and light scroll work. Weight: 6lb. 4 oz. Bbls retain approx 90% of a toned older restored blued finish. Custom buttstock and forearm are worn with scattered handling marks and retain most of their older custom finish. Receiver retains traces of its original case color, engraving still crisp. Bores are bright and shiny with one dent in right tube near muzzle. Mechanics are very good.
