HIGHLY DECORATED AND ATTRACTIVE PERCUSSION UNIDENTIFIED CURLY MAPLE DATED PISTOL.

SN NSN. 10-1/2″ full oct 41 Cal. smooth bbl stamped “1857/90” pined to curly maple stock with triangular silver inlays surrounding pins. Engraved percussion lockplate is stamped “ARMSTRONG PHILADELPHIA”. Grip is checkered with 7 silver inlays and a brass buttstrap. 3-1/2″ long bbl tang is engraved and is bordered by incised carving. Plain brass closed nosecap is 3/4″ long. Pistol is unmarked as to gunsmith or place of manufacture but may be a product of Ohio. PROVENANCE: Frank Sujansky Collection. CONDITION: Good.
