Daum jar has deeply acid-cut decoration of lavender flower branches, flowers and cameo quotation “mon doux Penser” while lid has deeply acid-cut lavender flower and butterfly, all on a clear background. Jar and lid are further decorated with gilded detailing on flowers, leaves and butterfly as well as traces of gilding at rim and in acid-textured background. Jar is signed on underside in gold “Daum Nancy” with cross of Lorraine. SIZE: 3-3/4″ t. PROVENANCE: From an Unreserved Texas Collection.
