Second half 19th century, Maine or New York. The rectangular dovetailed box in dark wash. Hinged lid opening to an interior fitted with a removable dovetailed tray. Box with six spools stored in bottom and six smaller spools in tray. SIZE: 6″ h x 12-3/4″ l x 8-3/4″ d. CONDITION: Box retains original surface with normal and expected in use wear and with light abrasion throughout. Box retains original lock and keeper.
