FINE PORTSMOUTH FEDERAL INLAID MAHOGANY BOWFRONT CHEST OF DRAWERS.

Early 19th century, Portsmouth, N.H. The rectangular mahogany top with bowfront, the edge with contrasting string inlay above a conforming case fitted with four bowed drawers all with cockbeaded edges and mahogany crossbanding with figural birch rectangular panels centering round birch veneer panel. All veneers matching. The chest raised on French feet with shaped returns. Chest fitted with replaced oval brass handles decorated with beehive and floral garland.
