LOT OF 4 FIGURAL TOOTHPICK HOLDERS & 2 KNIFE RESTS.

1) A young boy removes his sock while seated next to the toothpick holder. His other sock and pair of shoes are next to his right foot. Marked “Derby Silver Co. #2307”. Page 147. CONDITION: Not much silver left on this piece. 2) A bowing gentleman in a tri-cornered hat, vest, cutaway coat and knickers stands by toothpick holder. Marked “Middletown Plate Co. #32”. CONDITION: The stick in his right hand is probably a replacement, as there is a glop of solder there. Silver is fair to good. 3) A squirrel eating a nut sits on a branch and leaves which go the length of this piece. Also on the branch is a very large acorn, which is the toothpick holder. The domed, oval base has cut-out work at the bottom and is supported by four sets of leaves and an acorn. Marked “Pairpoint Mfg. Co. #1932”. CONDITION: Silver is poor. 4) This is a very heavy piece! A dressed monkey with a rifle and a dog stand next to a large tree stump, which is the toothpick holder on a large, triangular earthen base. Marked “Jas. W. Tufts #3400”. CONDITION: Silver is fair. 5) Two large squirrels eating nuts with their bushy tails going all the way up to the top of their heads. Balance a bar between them that is the knife rest. Marked “Meriden B. Company #16”. CONDITION: Silver is fair. 6) Two bushy-tailed squirrels, each eating a nut and standing on what appears to be a lily pad. Balance a bar between them that is the knife rest. Marked “Reed & Barton #90”. CONDITION: Silver is fair to good. CONDITION: As noted. 49090-45 (500-700) – Lot 2367
