*PARKER CHE WITH TITANIC STEEL BARRELS AND CASE.SN 120713. Cal. 12 ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. 2 Frame. 30″ Bbls have concave, matted rib engraved with Parker’s Meriden CT address and “TITANIC STEEL”. Bbl flats are stamped with steel type, patent date, and weight. Left side of lump is stamped with SN. Typical Parker action has all correct numbers and marks on water table. Action features non-automatic safety and nickel-plated dbl triggers. Action is engraved with 70 – 80% coverage scroll within geometric borders, surrounding circular vignettes of single dogs and game; A low-tail pointer on left, and an alert setter on right side. “Parker Bros” is engraved in unusual scroll terminated swag at central portion of each side. A stag runs across trigger plate. Trigger guard bow is scroll engraved. SN is at grip. Nicely flame figured American walnut Parker capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/2″ over skeleton steel buttplate. Stock is embellished in atypical “C” grade style with fleur-di-lis drop points and checkered side panels, with fancy pattern checkering at grip with mullered borders. Matching splinter ejector forend has steel tip and typical Parker release. Ejector patent date is on iron. Bore diameter: left -.729, right -.729. Bore restrictions: left -.034 (full), right -.035 (full). Wall thickness: left -.033, right -.031. Drop at heel: 2-3/8″, drop at comb: 1-9/16″. Weight: 7 lbs 15 oz. LOP: 14-1/2″. This gun is listed in and matches the PARKER GUN IDENTIFICATION AND SERIALIZATION LEDGER. Old leather case is embossed “S. V. W.” on top, and is lined in dark burgundy cloth. Case contains straps. Bbls retain nearly all of an old re-black. Action retains traces of orig case hardening color, but is nearly all gray. Replacement stocks retain most of their oil finish. Bores are good, with light frosting and some pits, with evidence of a slight bulge taken down 9″ from breech in right bbl. Action is tight. Ejectors are in time.
