1) A young girl carries a basket of provisions while standing on a low, elevated base next to the napkin holder. To collectors of figural napkin rings, this figure is known as Little Red Riding Hood, despite the fact that she is not wearing a cape. Marked “Reed & Barton #1492”. Plate 337. CONDITION: Silver is good. 2) A boy on hands and knees approaches a bird’s nest and encounters an angry mother bird. On an oval, scalloped edged base. Makers mark has been x-ed out (?), but the number “274” is present. Plate 642-left. CONDITION: Silver is good. 3) A boy on hands and knees peers into a nest of bird eggs. The round, raised base is decorated with a ridge-designed border. Marked “Meriden Silver Plate Co. #269”. Plate 642-right. CONDITION: Silver is good.
