First quarter 20th century, Persia. This nice example with three rows of nine geometric, polychrome medallions amidst dense stylized flower heads, all on a madder red field within a blue-black main border of floral trellis work. SIZE: 9′ 2″ x 11′ 4″. CONDITION: Rug retains strong palette with even wear overall. Central row of medallions with some wear to foundation within third medallion from the ends. This wear, while visible, is by no means, severe, and is commensurate with age. Otherwise generally good. 51376-55 (2,000-3,000) – Lot 2361
