*WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 38-72. Standard grade rifle with 26″ tapered oct. bbl, half-nickel front sight and semi-buckhorn rear sight. Nicely figured wood with schnable tipped forearm and straight stock with crescent steel buttplate. SN 26370. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbl retains 97-99% strong bright original blue. Receiver 95-97% flaked original blue with the flaked areas a brown patina. Wood is sound and retains most of its fine original varnish with some thinning on the bottom of the forearm.
