QUEEN ANNE TILT-TOP CANDLESTAND TOGETHER WITH MAHOGANY DROP-LEAF TABLE.

Third quarter 18th century, New England. The oval top with good figured mahogany, hinged and tilting on a columnar urn and ring-turned pedestal, raised on three cabriole legs with accentuated pointed pad feet on platforms. The Queen Anne mahogany drop-leaf table with rectangular top and hinged D-form leaves projecting above the conforming apron with astragal arch at each end, raised on tapering cylindrical legs terminating in platform pad feet. The opposing legs hinged and swiveling to support the leaves. SIZE: 1) 27-3/4″ h x 21-1/2″ l x 15″ w. 2) 27-1/2″ h x 13″ l closed/36″ l open x 34″ w. CONDITION: The first with old shrinkage splits in top, now stabilized. Otherwise good. The second, top with small loss to wood at one hinge. Conforming leaf showing screw tip at hinge.
