SN 177247. Cal. 16 ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. 0 Frame. 30″ Bbls are fitted with matted, concave rib marked with Parker’s Meriden CT address and “ACME STEEL”. Bbl flats are stamped with steel type, “V”, and weight. Left side of lump is stamped with SN. Typical Parker action is filed in “A” grade style with large single beads around fences. All correct numbers are on water table, along with grade “VH”. Water table is also engraved “Hermsen Reproduction”. Action features automatic safety and gold-plated dbl triggers. Action is engraved with near full coverage varying sized scroll with scrolling and geometric borders, surrounding relief cut oval vignettes of dogs, with a pointer on left, and a setter on right. A setter and pointer are on bottom. Front portion of bottom of action is engraved “Parker Bros”. Trigger guard bow is scroll engraved. SN is at grip. Striking, beautifully figured and marbled European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-1/2″ over skeleton steel buttplate. Stock is embellished in typical “A” grade style with inset checkered side panels, and deeply carved fleur-di-lis drop points. Checkering has shaped border with fleur-di-lis intrusions toward butt. A vacant gold oval is on toe line. Matching splinter ejector forend is nearly fully checkered, has nicely filed steel tip, and typical Parker release. Ejector patent date is on iron. Bore diameter: left -.665, right -.667. Bore restrictions: left -.028 (full), right -.031 (full). Wall thickness: left -.024, right -.028. Drop at heel: 2-7/16″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight: 6 lbs 8 oz. LOP: 14-1/2″. Tan leather case is lined in burgundy felt, and has black “Parker Gun” label in lid. Case contains 2-pc walnut and brass cleaning rod with mop and brush, as well as a square oil bottle. Special Note: This item contains or is made of ivory.
