1947 UNITED MOTORS SERVICE ILLUMINATED SIGN.

United Motors Service was a division of General Motors Corporation in Detroit, Michigan. This sign was manufactured in early 1947 for wall or counter display in service showrooms. The reverse side of the touring car silhouette houses a florescent bulb and transformer which would back-light the sign when plugged in. It’s packed in the original cardboard shipping box and includes a copy of the original advertising bulletin used to promote sales of the display. SIZE: 24-3/4″ w x 15-1/2″ h.
