Cameo’s 19th century housed in 20th century frames. 1) Elaborately carved and very finely detailed shell cameo, featuring a nude male angel and a team of horses in flight. Roman style and very high relief. Surrounded by twining vine frame in gold or goldplate, now mounted in a gilt shadowbox frame, with background surround featuring squares of agate with MOP button corners. 2) Elaborately carved and very finely detailed shell cameo, featuring the bust of a Roman God with Olive Branch in hair, having beautiful flowing hair and beard. Surrounded by bezel from portrait frame in brass, now mounted in a gilt shadowbox frame, with background surround featuring squares of agate with MOP button corners. 3) Features a shell cameo portrait brooch with gold filled frame, 2 lava cameo portrait brooches in very high relief, both with grape and leaf decoration, framed in gold or gold filled frames and a classical musician lava cameo lavalier with silver and gold filled frame all arranged in a decorative pattern with gold foil detail, portraits separated with carved MOP oval game pieces. All housed in a shield shaped mahogany inlaid shadowbox frame with brass finial. All 3 shadowboxes having the label “Saxon & Clemens Pictures, NY”. SIZE: 1) Shell cameo size 1-3/4″ x 2-1/8″.
