SHERATON STYLE, INLAID MAHOGANY CARD TABLE TOGETHER WITH A PAIR OF SHIELD BACK CHAIRS.

First half 20th century, American. Benchmade centennial card table with hinged serpentine top with ogivel corners above the conforming frieze with figured veneer panels, the edges with diamond banded inlays raised on swelled reeded and ring turned legs with tapered feet. Benchmade centennial carved mahogany chairs with central fan inlaid patera with plume and ribbon tassel carvings. The shaped over upholstered seat with serpentine front rail and brass tacking raised on tapered, string inlaid frontal legs, on Marlborough feet. The rear legs backswept. SIZE: Table: 29-1/2″ w x 35″ w x 17-1/2″ d. Chairs: 38″ h of back x 17″ h of seat x 20″ w of seat. PROVENANCE: Maralyn Young estate, Arundel/Falmouth Maine, being sold unreserved. CONDITION: Slight warp to top and with dry, crusty original finish. The chairs with dry, crusty original finish. No damage or restoration noted.
