Unsigned, mid 19th Century. Oil on canvas 3/4 portrait of a gentleman with beard, brown hair & blue eyes. He wears a double breasted captains coat with brass buttons decorated with burgee and watch chain. His captain’s hat, having an emblem with anchor decoration, is set near his elbow which is resting on a red stand. He also wears a gold & green stone pinky ring. Housed in a modern antique style gilt wood frame. Originally found in Missouri. SIZE: 31″ x 25-1/2″. Overall: 36-1/4″ x 30-3/4″.
