GEORGE III SILVER TEA CADDY.

Circa 1786. Hallmarked for John Wakelin & William Tayor, London. The square hinged lid applied with a cherry sprig for a handle. Lid with impressed scrolling leaf tips. Caddy sides each with three classical pedestals surmounted by garlands all within beaded borders raised on C-scrolled feet. Hallmarks located on center of bottom (see detail photo).
