*CHURCHILL XXV LIGHTWEIGHT BOXLOCK GAME GUN W/CASE.

SN 5418. 12 ga. ca 1936. 25″ bbls, 2-3/4″ chambers, CHOKED: Imp.cyl./Full. Full length matted rib with steel front bead. Marked in gold “XXV” near breech. Double triggers, automatic ejectors, automatic safety, assisted opener. Straight grip stock with gold oval, checkered in 2-pt pattern with 14-3/8″ LOP over checkered butt. Buttstock has 2″ extension and leather cheek mount installed. Splinter forearm with Curtis release checkered in 3-pt pattern. Receiver is near full coverage, scroll and floral engraved, marked in a banner on both sides “E. J. Churchill”. Bottom of frame nicely scroll engraved as is trigger guard and top lever “SAFE” in gold in front of safety and “XXV” in gold on bottom of frame. WEIGHT: 6 lbs. 1 oz. Accompanied by a Maker’s leather toe under “VC” case with accessories. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain 85-90% orig blue finish with a few light handling marks. Sling swivel mount installed on bottom rib. Receiver retains 60-70% orig case color on sides. Trigger guard and floorplate retain 85-90% high gloss blue finish as does top lever. Buttstock, modified as noted above with extension and cheek piece and forearm retain most of a nicely restored finish with light handling marks throughout. Mechanics are excellent.
