GEORGE II ENGLISH COVERED TANKARD BY JOHN LANGLANDS.

Newcastle, 1747/8. The bulbous footed tankard having a flat domed lid with an onslow stylized thumb lift having rampant lion hallmark on top. “S” shaped handle with heart shaped end. The heart having two engraved heraldic symbols and the handle having maker’s hallmark & engraved “IB+SB”. WEIGHT: 32.1 tr. oz. SIZE: 9-1/2″ x 8″ at widest.
