TIFFANY STERLING PORRINGER TOGETHER WITH A MARQUAND AND CO. SILVER SALVER.

1) Late 19th century. A 5 gill sterling porringer marked “Tiffany & Co., 5785T2870” having elaborate chased floral and cartouche decoration and pierced work handle. Engraved inscription on bottom, “Roger Sherman Evarts, From His Grandfather William M. Evarts, April 28th, 1896”. 2) First half 19th century. An American coin silver salver, with the mark “Marquand & Co., New York, Successors to Ball, Black & Co.”. Of heavy quality with rope turned trim and inscribed “Roger Sherman Evarts, From His Grandmother Helen M. W. Evarts, April 28th, 1900”. Roger Sherman Evarts was a descendant of Roger Sherman signer of The Declaration of Independance. SIZE: 1) 9.5oz Troy. 2) 8.2oz Troy. 7″ dia.
