NEO CLASSIC GORHAM STERLING SILVER TUREEN/CENTERPIECE.

1st half 20th century, American. Sterling silver covered oval urn, with gadroon and foliate decoration, having swag loop handles and urn finial. Marked Gorham Sterling #13692. This piece apparently started out as a covered tureen and was fitted with a removable pierced work silver plate flower frog with center urn finial to make it useful as a center piece, both pieces are marked with part #8 indicating that this was probably a factory re-fit at the Gorham Company.
