TWO RARE HANGING CANDLE SCONCES.Late 18th early 19th century, American. The first a vertical triple sconce, with oval stepped back plate with crimped edge perimeter joined to three down-swept candle arms with with folded edge terminating in fluted drip pans and slotted candle cups with folded edge, with original hanging ring attached to backside. The second with circular crimped edge back plate, eight circular disk reflectors each affixed with a tab. the folded edge candle arm with fluted drip pan and folded edge with slotted candle cup, the sconce with original hanger ring attached at back. Both with fine pewter gray patina with vestiges of original tinned surface. SIZE: First 14-1/2″ t x 6-1/4″ w x 8-1/2″ d. Second 9-3/4″ dia x 5″ d.
