RARE WINDSOR TAVERN TABLE IN RED PAINT.

Last quarter 18th century, probably Connecticut. The maple, ash and pine table with single board circular top pegged and joined to the vase ring and wheel turned maple legs terminating in button feet joined by simple turned spindle double box stretcher. . All surfaces scrubbed but retaining original red paint. Reference: For a similar example see Antique Country Furnishings by Newmann, page 134, plate 577. SIZE: 23″ h x 23-1/2″ to 24-1/4″ dia.
