WRITING ARM WINDSOR CHAIR.

Circa 1790, Connecticut. The chair of the Tracy Allen school of chair makers. A tall example with comb-back crest rail and sculpted saddle seat. Having a generous writing arm on the proper right side, fitted with the original dovetailed drawer, fully supported with architectural element in seat and turned spindles. Poplar seat; pine writing arm; ash and maple turnings; ash bow, spindles and crest rail. SIZE: 44-1/2″ h x 36″ w x 26″ d x 17-3/4″ seat h.
