LARGE CLAY PIPE TOBACCONIST TRADE SIGN.

Late 19th century, New England. Fine large trade sign simulating a clay pipe, featuring a well crafted tin bowl in red and black paint and carved wooden stem with shaped mouth piece. Retaining original forged iron “s” hook hanger. SIZE: 72″ l. CONDITION: Very good, with good surface, some losses to wood on stem due to swirling grain. 9-96622 (3,000-6,000) – Lot 2261
