FINE SCRIMSHAW CARVED POWDER HORN.Late 18th early 19th century, New England. This cow horn example scrimmed with a fully rigged frigate flying the American flag on one side, a fully rigged schooner on verso. Each side scrimmed with the initials “MW”. Horn is step carved with lambs tongue detailing. SIZE: 8″ l. 10″ l (on curve). CONDITION: Excellent untouched condition, no cracks or chips, well polished surface with no abrasions.
