American, mid 19th century. Early painted surfaces, the body in Windsor Green, with red rim and base. Inscribed, in mustard yellow with black shadow paint, “C. FOSTER., M.F.S., No. 2., 1840”. All stitching intact, the bucket retaining its original iron rings and handle. SIZE: 13-1/2″ to top of rim.
