HANDEL OBVERSE & REVERSE PAINTED LAMP.

Handel lamp has reverse painted forest scene with distant shadowy trees with yellow and green cloudy sky and a small dirt road leading into the forest. The shade is further decorated on the obverse with aspen trees flanking the road and distant forest with dark green foliage. The shade is signed on the interior “Handel 6230” and artist initials “GL”. Shades rests on a Handel base with vertically ribbed body and three light socket cluster. Sockets are complete with original acorn pulls and the base is finished with a rich textured brown patina. Base is signed on the side near the foot with impressed block letters “Handel”. This lamp is pictured in The Handel Lamps Book by Carol Goldman Hibel, John Hibel and John Fontaine, pg. 183, top right. SIZE: Shade is 18″ dia. Lamp is 24″ t.
