18th century, probably American. Walnut, original paint with gesso undercoat. Relief carved from a single plank, two winged angels dressed in red blouses with gilt trim, and green skirts with blue and red polka dot designs, hems gilded with blue trim. Figures holding scrolled medallion/family coat of arms, with cherub crest. SIZE: 39-1/2″ x 21″ t.
