SPADE FOOT RED PAINTED HEPPLEWHITE CANDLESTAND.

Circa late 18th century, New England. Walnut, birch, original dry red paint. Single board, square, scrubbed walnut top, affixed to beveled, chamfered cleat. The column with graceful urn turning, above dovetailed spider legs with spade feet. Underside of top illegibly signed, period chalk script. SIZE: 16-3/4″ x 17-1/2″ x 28-3/4″ t.
