MAGNIFICENT LOT OF LETTERS, POSTCARDS, LOGS, BOOKS, PHOTOS, ADVERTISEMENTS, CORRESPONDENCE, ADVERTISING CARDS, DIARIES AND OTHER EPHEMERA PREDOMINATELY RELATED TO PORTLAND MAINE.

Lot consists of more than fifty 19th and 20th century books related to Portland and to Maine, a merchant’s log extending from August 9, 1790 to March 1813 of approximately 100 leaves in full leather; a log book authored by Master William Ross of the Barque MARY C FOX, from May 1864 to June 1885 – Ports include Philadelphia and Castine (no covers). A water-stained copy of the Hollis School District extending from 1839-1892 and a wealth of other ephemeral items. PROVENANCE: Maralyn Young estate, Arundel/Falmouth Maine, being sold unreserved.
