BARTHOLOMAY BREWING COMPANY EMBOSSED TIN SIGN.

Rare circa 1880s tin sign from this Rochester, N.Y. brewer featuring their “winged-wheel” trademark. Lithograph by F. Tuchfarber & Co. Cincinnati, OH. This is the only example known to the cataloger. Also included is a Bartholomay Brewing Company folded brochure with a color aerial factory view and an illustration of the miniature brewery they exhibited at the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. SIZE: 21-3/4″ x 29-3/4″. CONDITION: Generally good; has been nailed to a wall at one point in its life with 1″ of the right margin previously folded. Sign exhibits scattered nail punctures, scuffs, scrapes and appears to have been trimmed at the top. Brochure has light creasing otherwise very good condition. 48747-2 (1,000-2,000) – Lot 2247
