IW HARPER WHISKEY CANVAS SIGN.

Circa 1912 chromolithograph on canvas signed “Crompton”, of a newlywed couple embarking on their honeymoon. The wedding party is shown raising their glasses in a toast and providing a gift… bottle of Harper whiskey for the ride. In original oak frame incised “I.W. HARPER WHISKEY” across the top and “THE PARTING GIFT” at the bottom. From the Bernheim Distilling Co., Louisville, KY. SIZE: Overall: 44-3/4″ w x 32-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Good to very good; has had canvas repairs and as inherent in the chromolithograph/oleograph process, the makers would utilize highlight painting across the image.
