SN 1179-65. Cal. 375 H&H. 26″ One third octagon, 2/3 round Bohler bbl with integral rib, is mounted with single standing U-notch rear sight, and gold bead in front ramp. Rib is matted, and orig makers name is matted out. ’03 Springfield action has been fitted with claw mounts. Bolt handle has been altered to clear scope. Floorplate has been altered to hinged type. Rear portion of bbl, action, and bottom metal are engraved with extensive coverage well done oak leaves and acorns in shaded background. Bolt knob is deeply carved in oak leaf motif. Bottom metal is coin finished and has acorns and oak leaves of better quality surrounding scene of battling moose on floorplate, and cougar on trigger guard bow. Front part of magazine is engraved “ENGRAVED” “BY” “BRUEHL MAX” “GUN ENGRAVING” “STUDIO” “CHICAGO”. Crotch figured American walnut, California style Monte Carlo stock with right hand swept cheekpiece and rosewood grip cap and forend, measures 14-1/4″ over open sided Pachmayr white line pad. Well cut point pattern checkering with scroll flourishes at apex of interior points is at grip and forend. A piece of rosewood has been inlet behind top tang. Kahles Helia-Super 4 X scope with duplex reticle is in soldered-on claw rings. Drop at heel: approx 2-3/4″, drop at rear of Monte Carlo: approx 1-5/8″, drop at comb: approx. 1-3/4″. Weight without scope: 8 lbs. 6 oz. LOP: 14-1/4″. CONDITION: Excellent. Metal parts retain essentially all of their custom finishes. Stock shows a few light marks in its orig oil finish, checkering still light in color. Rosewood piece is inlet behind tang to repair a crack, which continues about 3/4″ past piece.
