WELL CARVED FOLK ART EAGLE.

Early 20th century, possibly American. The fanciful bird carved at the moment of landing with down-turned feathered head, out-swept nicely shaped wings and spread tail. The wing and tail tips carved in a “feathered” appearance. The head with feathered plumage and partially open beak. The talons carved as an integral part of the square wood pedestal. Nice coloration and patina. SIZE: 14″ t x 31-1/2″ w (wing) x 11″ d. CONDITION: With undisturbed surfaces, minor blemish to tip of beak, and with some areas of minor roughness to wing tips, otherwise very good. 51400-6 (1,800-2,000) – Lot 2238
