TWO LOUIS ICART PRINTS.

1) Louis Icart print entitled “Salome” depicts young scantily clad woman standing near pillar with Egyptian Hieroglyphics and servant kneeling beside her holding up tray with bloody knife. Signed lower right in pencil “Louis Icart” and impressed at lower left with windmill mark “Paris”, marked upper right “copyright 1929 by ” (printing has faded and is illegible). Housed in contemporary wooden frame with gold liner. 2) Print depicts Japanese woman on bridge throwing flowers into air with birds flying above. Signed lower right in pencil “Louis Icart” with “231” in pencil lower left, impressed with windmill mark “Paris” lower left, marked upper right “copyright 1927 by Les Graveures Modernes 194 Rue de Movti, Paris”. Housed in contemporary black frame. SIZE: 1) Sight size 14″ x 21-1/4″. Overall 21-1/2″ x 27-1/2″. 2) Sight size 14-1/4″ x 21-1/4″. Overall 24-3/4″ x 32″. CONDITION: 1) Very good to excellent with some foxing on mat, slight darkening to print. 2) Very good to excellent with some minor darkening to print. Some minor scratches to frame.
