FEDERAL INLAID SERVER.

Vermont, circa 1815. A rare and desirable compact server from Vermont with Hepplewhite scrolled base and drawer configuration consisting of a full width drawer at the bottom with butterfly doors just above flanked by bottle drawers with split top drawer and deep full width second drawer. Primary wood is mahogany and birch, with inlaid drawer fronts of tiger maple with ebony and maple stringing and mahogany cross-banding. The doors and drawers are cock beaded. Secondary wood is primarily basswood with some pine. SIZE: 42-1/2″ t x 41-3/4″ w x 18-1/4″ d. CONDITION: Good restored condition, with base restored, refinished, replaced hardware, and shows signs of having had a back splash at one time. 51399-1 (1,500-2,500) – Lot 2226
