BEAUTIFUL HIGH GRADE DELUXE 12MM LEFAUCHEAUX BREVETTE PINFIRE WITH ROYAL CREST.

NSN. 12 mm. 11″ overall, 5.5″ oct bbl, standard military configuration, extremely fine relief engraved with cherubs, dragon, bird and floral motifs, and inset gold crown over “W” is found on backstrap. Front of barrel lug is engraved “LEBEDA / in/ PRAG” Anton Lebeda is found in Stockle as active 1841 till his death in 1857. He is known to have made guns for Kaiser Franz Joseph I. CONDITION: Very fine overall, barrel retains 95% of its original brown/plum finish, cylinder is bright plum/blue with gold borders and central gold scene. Relief engraving covers virtually all of frame, lower barrel lug, trigger guard, and hammer. Large fixed blade front sight and rear sight retains most of their bright blue. Two-piece finally checked ebony stocks show little wear. Mechanically gun is fine with crisp shiny bore. 51162-13 JS (3,000-5,000) – Lot 2226
