*RIGBY DOUBLE RIFLE WITH EXTRA SHOTGUN BARRELS, SCOPE, AND CASE.

SN 381069. Cal. 12 GA / 470 NE Chambers. 26″ Mono-bloc rifle bbls are fitted with quarter rib holding one standing, one folding leaf express rear sight and ERA Q-D scope bases. Sunken mid rib extends to front ramp holding glow worm bead. Top of left bbl is engraved “John Rigby & Co” in Old English script, and “PASO ROBLES CA.” Bbl flats are stamped with German proofs, SN, and various numbers and letters denoting loads for which rifle was regulated (?). A sling eye is screwed to bottom rib. 28″ 12 ga Shoe lump shotgun bbls with concave matted rib are also engraved with Rigby name and address on top left, bbl flats with German nitro proofs for 3″ chambers. Coin finished boxlock action with rebated back, features non-automatic safety (S inlaid in gold), bushed strikers, crossbolt third fastener, side clips, and dbl triggers. Action is engraved with 80% coverage large, open, shaded scroll. Trigger plate is engraved “J. Rigby & Co”. Gold initials “JLW” are at rear of top strap. Engravers signature “B. Burgess” is on trigger plate. Trigger guard has extension of tang to engraved steel trap grip cap with dome of trap gold inlaid with Rigby’s “RR” logo. Dark and dense, well figured and marbled European walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 15″ over black Old English pad, and features large shadow line right hand cheekpiece, point pattern checkering with mullered borders at grip, and a sling eye, matching that on bbl, on toe line. Each bbl set has its own dedicated ejector beavertail forend with Deeley release. Forend for shotgun bbls is marked “12 Ga” on iron. Rifle bbls: Drop at heel: approx 2-7/16″, drop at comb: approx 2-1/16″. Weight without scope: 12 lbs 8 oz. LOP: 15″. Shotgun Bbls: Bore diameter: left -.729, right -.729. Bore restrictions: left -.014 (mod), right -.007 (IC). Drop at heel: 1-7/8″, drop at comb: 1-9/16″. Weight: 7 lbs 11 oz. LOP: 15″. Leupold Vari-X III 1.5 x 5 scope with duplex reticle is in ERA Q-D rings. Rigby marked Americase is lined in royal blue velvet with embroidered Rigby label in lid. Case has compartments for action and both sets of bbls, as well as scope. CONDITION: Excellent, showing little use, with only a few light marks in wood and metal finishes. Action is tight. Ejectors are in time. Scope is excellent with a few light marks in lacquer, optically clear. Case exterior is excellent with some light scuffs.
