LOT OF 2 ANTIQUE SMITH & WESSON #3 REVOLVERS.SN 34889/31118. 1). New Model #3. SN 34889. Cal 44 Russian. Blue finish with 6-1/2″ keyhole shaped bbl, half moon front sight and fixed rear sight on bbl latch. Mounted with un-numbered diamond checkered walnut grips. Bbl rib has standard markings. Left side of bbl with caliber marking. 2). #3 DA Frontier. SN 31118. Cal 44 Russian. Nickel finish with 5″ keyhole shaped bbl, half moon front sight and fixed rear sight on bbl latch. Bbl rib has standard markings. Mounted with Smith & Wesson embossed hard rubber grips. CONDITION: 1). Fine, all matching except grips as noted. Overall retains about 65-70% orig blue, strong & bright in sheltered areas with fine pitting on left side of bbl. Mechanics are crisp, very bright shiny bore. Grips show heavy wear. 2). Very good to fine. Bbl & top strap retain about 75% strong orig nickel and the cylinder about 65-70% orig nickel. Frame retains virtually all of its orig nickel with some very minor spotting around the sideplate. Trigger guard retains most of its orig blue turned a little dark and the trigger strong case colors on the sides. Hammer also retains strong case colors on the sides.
