RARE ENGINEERING DRAWING OF CAB FORWARD LOCOMOTIVE #4114 S. PACIFIC LINES.

2nd quarter 20th century, New York. Drawn by John W. Elder, New York City. Drawn on paper. Nicely rendered in color, titled ” Southern Pacific Lines / Articulated Consolidation / Nos. 4205-4244 / Built by Baldwin Locomotive.” This design represents and important renovation by turning the locomotive thus producing a forward facing cab correcting the problem of smoke in the cab. Housed in a wide molded frame. NOTE: Frame mounted with plaque: “Presented to Samuel Vauclain- Chairman of the board- Baldwin Locomotive Works- 1931.” SIZE: 56″ x 26-01/2″. Overall 34-1/2″ x 64″.
