Second quarter 20th Century. Central poled medallion of Herati design in a madder red field densely filled with geometric floral designs within ivory spandrels and zigzag borders. The midnight blue main border with crab and tarantula medallions within crenelated and dogtooth guard borders. SIZE: 8’11” x 12’7″. PROVENANCE: The Estates of Faye G. Montell & Hayden Goldberg of Brooklyn, NY & Gardiner, ME. CONDITION: Pile generally good but with area of wear to foundation at mid-point between main border and field.
