REMINGTON VEST POCKET PISTOL A.K.A. “SAW HANDLE DERINGER”.

SN 2258. Cal. 41RF. 4″ bbl. Full nickel finish. 2-pc walnut grips. Bbl shows 2-line Remington address and patent mark on top flat. Left flat shows 2 small British proofs. SN is stamped on left inside of grip frame and on the bottom of the bbl Assembly No. 80 appears on left inside of grip frame and is written in pencil on the inside of each grip. PROVENANCE: Bruce Burtner Collection. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl assembly retains 90% of the somewhat dull nickel finish with some light flaking and sharp marks. Bore is stained with visible rifling. Frame retains 20-30% nickel that has flaked to a silver gray patina overall. Frame markings are sharp. Hammer, breechblock and trigger retain a considerable amount of blue finish. Grips are very good and show nearly all of the varnish finish with only slight handling marks overall. A very nice example of a 41 cal. Remington Vest Pocket Pistol made for the English market. 51641-27 TEP (1,250-1,500) – Lot 2215
