DR MACAURA’S BLOOD CIRCULATOR W/ OB.

One of the more peculiar items you’ll see today. This quack device from around the turn of the last century was a hand crank apparatus claimed to have improved one’s circulation when in actuality it did no such thing. The pulsing vibrations it produced did nothing more than give the user a curious sensation. It most certainly served other functions. Even the accompanying instruction literature reads like a veiled romance novel. Its nickel plated housing is also complete a wooden handle and crank. Research shows that the base would have had a rubber covering, which has long since gone absent. Contained within an original box and accompanied by a 56-page booklet describing its intended use and benefits. SIZE: 11-1/4” l. CONDITION: Some wear to nickel surface and wooden handle.
