MAJORELLE ART NOUVEAU MARQUETRY SERVING TABLE.

Circa 1918, Louis Majorelle, France. The two tier table, each top with marquetry flowering orchid borders within a molded edge. The top fitted with cast-bronze stylized carrying handles raised on molded outswept legs and with C-scroll inner supports. Note: Similar example illustrated in Louis Majorelle Master of Art Nouveau Design by Alastair Duncun, published 1991, page 104. An identical example illustrated in The Paris Salons 1895-1914 Volume III: Furniture by Alastair Duncan, published by Antique Collector’s Club, 1996, page 382. SIZE: 33″ h x 32-3/4″ l x 25-1/2″ w.
