UNIQUE TULIP TABLE LAMP.

Unique Art Glass & Metal Co. table lamp has leaded glass shade with a band of amber glass tulips encircling the shade against a honeycomb green slag glass background. Shade rests on original Unique gas lamp base. Base has been converted to electric. It is finished with a rich brown patina and green highlights. Shade and base are topped with the rare original cast floral design crown which was only used on these in the gas lamp form. Shade and base are unsigned. A similar example is pictured in the book Mosaic Shades Volume II by Paul Crist, pg. 73. SIZE: Shade is 16″ dia. Lamp is 21-1/2″ t. CONDITION: Shade has several tight hairlines in the tulip border and two honeycomb panels have Y-shaped cracks.
