MILLS FIVE CENT “WAR EAGLE” SLOT MACHINE.A classic machine from the 1930s Silent Mystery Series. Fanciful aluminum castings depicting an eagle on the front of the machine make this a most appealing and visually attractive gambling device. Often times manufacturers changed or upgraded the front of their machines to catch the eye of the perspective gambler. An added feature to this desirable slot machine is the side vendor (lacking trip lever), which allowed the operator to circumvent gambling laws by dispensing a roll of mints every time the machine was played. A nice clean original machine with aged repainting to front casting, all castings intact without cracks, chips, etc. Machine retains its original cash box, working jackpot backdoor with Mills key and original reel strips. A nice clean machine the way it is or if you prefer a good candidate for restoration. SIZE: 16″ w (not including side vendor) x 15″ d x 26″ t. CONDITION: As stated above. 49103-14 (1,500-2,000) – Lot 2205 Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll - Spring 2015 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price. The prices noted here after the auction are considered unofficial and do not become official until after the 46th day. |
