FINE GALLE ART NOUVEAU MARQUETRY TWO TIER TEA TABLE.

Circa 1900, Emile Galle, France. Signed beneath spray of cherry blooms lower left corner facing. The rectangular tray top of dense floral design, a butterfly within a simulated natural landscape above a larger shelf of floral marquetry in a simulated aquatic landscape. The whole joined by shaped carved supports and legs in the form of tree branches. Note: The identical table illustrated in Galle Furniture by Alastair Duncan and Georges de Bartha, Antique Collector’s Club, 2012, page 215, plate 203. Identical table was on exhibit at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, Norwich UK as part of the “Anderson Collection”. SIZE: 30″ h x 36-1/2″ l x 24″ w.
