ORIGINAL TWO-WHEELED BICYCLE TRADE STIMULATOR.

A really fabulous untouched, all-original example of a most visually attractive and interesting gambling device from the early 20th century. Normally on the case is a metal Sun cabinet tag or celluloid Waddell Manufacturing tag. In this case, there is a small rectangular decal, which unfortunately is somewhat worn and illegible. The only decipherable portion reads “St. Louis, Missouri”. A fanciful oak cabinet with rope twist front columns as well as a larger rope twist on upper wooden panel. The bicycle within is all original including the paper on the lead wheels, but even more amazing, the original instructions and the rarely found award card are intact! Machine has great play action and a light polishing to the original finish on the cabinet would truly enhance the overall appeal. If one could find a negative aspect about this machine, perhaps it would be the original coin drawer is missing. SIZE: 19-1/2″ l x 13-1/2″ h x 5-3/4″ d. CONDITION: As stated above, top wooden panel has small piece of wood corner missing from left rear corner (1-1/2″ x 1″) but not terribly distracting or detracting. The originality of this machine is wonderful. 45286-13 (7,500-9,500) – Lot 2202
